Fwd: Pynes Hill - Blobby and Twin Peaks - 25th February 2018

Image
A cold one this week - but not as cold as it could have been - and might be later this week.  Quite a lot of hills, lots of short-cutting (Woodpeckers says thats OK), and Rokjy and I managed to loose the trail (so we found a nice bench to sit on, and let the hares come to us!)
If you've got anything to add, including photos, send them to hashwords[AT]cityofexeterh3.org.uk, and they will appear here!
Next week, we're at Deepway Green in Exminster. (If you're coming from the Exeter side, turn left immediately after the primary school).  See http://tinyurl.com/hashdiary for details.
And don't forget to Rate the Hash: http://tinyurl.com/RateCoE
Finally hares are needed for 15th, 22nd and 29th April.

HARES REQUIRED

I will be looking for hares at the hash this week (Warren Car Park) for March 4th, 11th and 18th. Please come prepared!

Blobington Manor 4th Feb

Today's hash was in honour of Blobby and Twin Peaks combined large birthdays and very enjoyable it was too.

We all gathered outside Blobington manor, shivering in the cold and trying not to disturb his neighbours! The trail was a long one, the longs had the pleasure of many fish hooks which is likely why we clocked up over 6.5 miles 😀.

The trail took us on a circuit of Alphington, I confess I was never sure where I was or where we'd been (usual for me or maybe it was fish hook induced confusion 🤪). We were most unsettled at one point as we thought Bull Bait had checked correctly but he hadn't and normal order was restored. After filling up with sweets we crossed a very busy road where Spocky played lollipop lady (guy in the car he stopped was not so impressed). We then wound our way back through the houses (most of us following the trail) and on home to some lovely hot food, many thanks Mrs Blobby. Quite a few fines were handed out at the circle, mostly for being late …

This week, next week and Mad March hares

Image
I need hares for all dates in March please! Spring will have sprung by then, so there's an extra incentive to get out and lay!If you've got any words or photos from this week's trail, then please email them to

Blobington Manor, 4th Feb

Memorable moments from today's trail: cold n' breezy, fishhooks, lots of cyclists, fishhooks, Spocky's inability to tell a check from a cross, muddy paths, fishhooks, black jelly babies, that blokes face in the car that Spocky stopped to get us across the main road, fishhooks and standing round a lamppost just down the road from Blobby's house so his neighbours wouldn't associate us with him.  Thanks to Mrs Blobby for providing the after trail sustenance to celebrate Twin Peaks and Blobby's Birthdays.
