Newton Poppleford - Strapo and Swampy - 5th February 2017

Strapo and Swampy were today's hares, who arrived at the venue after most of the pack had appeared. Due to other equally interesting things going on our numbers were down, the pack consisted of some 18 athletic looking people.  Woodpecker and Boots in Puss wore shorts showing no signs of heat fatigue in the icy cold east wind.

We had the usual brief from the hares then we were off. Soon we hit a very water~logged field commonly referred to as a swamp. I have a hunch this was Swampy's doing. Within five minutes of the start we came across a long/short split only three of us took the short route,Geronimo,Tampa and me,Groucho.
That was the last time we saw the rest of the pack.We waited at the re-group but no hashers appeared on the scene so on on we went. Next came the sweet stop, still no hashers, thus no sweets. When we got back to the car park everyone else was back. Rumour has it the longs lost the trail whilst out in the environment. Enough said I think, follow the shorts next time.
Please don't forget to Rate the Hash
